"Some of my work explores abstract and conceptual aspects of painting. This has resulted in a series of hard-edged paintings (for example, the Foresee series) where forms are geometrical, have sharp contours and clearly defined areas of unmodulated colour. The medium being acrylic on canvas. With these paintings the landscape is the starting point for an exploration of the unstable fault line between representation and abstraction.

However, most of my paintings on this website reflect my abiding interest in the representation of the human form, especially portraits, often with a narrative emphasis and using the more traditional medium of oil on canvas."
